This Red Mouline Wool Fisherman Beanie is crafted by our artisans using a unique mouline merino wool yarn sourced from one of the top suppliers in Biella, Italy's wool capital. The distinct fisherman style sits just above the ears making for a stylish yet functional beanie, suitable for all seasons. The high-quality merino wool used for these beanies makes them very warm and extra soft as the yarn has been spun to perfection. The mouline version of the merino wool features a combination of merin wool threads mixed together to create a truly melange one of a kind effect. This fisherman style of beanie is one of our very first original designs and has been our best seller since we started 40 Colori.
All of our knitted scarves and beanies are crafted by one skilled artisan in his organized maglificio. Maurizio’s workshop is located near Reggio Emilia, 170km from our base, at the heart of an artisanal district praised for quality knitwear manufacturing. In his small but very tidy workshop, Maurizio runs five mechanical flat knitting machines which he uses to craft all our scarves, beanies, and jacquard knitted ties.
